Tom and Karen Berry
Tom married his wife Karen and 6 year old daughter Reagan in December of 2003. In January, he quit his sales job to purchase and run the Maids franchise. He hired Eric Gregory in July and opened they opened the franchise doors in September of 2004.
As luck would have it, their grand opening was just in time for 4 hurricanes that threatened Tampa. Needless to say, not many people were interested in a clean home at that time. Most were either fleeing Tampa or did not have electricity. Now, 5 years later, The Maids have cleaned thousands of homes in Tampa and have about 200 regular maid service clients.
Today, Eric Gregory runs daily operations of The Maids, while Tom run’s his second business, Native Dwellings, which he started in 2005. Native Dwellings develops and manages the construction and renovation of new old homes.

Eric Gregory
Eric Gregory is the General Manager of The Maids. He grew up in Maryland, and attained a degree in Economics from The University of Georgia in 1997. After graduating, he moved to Tampa and worked for AG Communication Systems and Lucent Technologies. In 2004, he helped establish the Tampa branch of The Maids franchise. Out of 165 The Maids franchises, Eric was honored as the 2006 Manager of the Year.
Team Leader #1: Yanet
Yanet
Yanet Hernandez (May 2005) leads Team1. They have been together the longest, since March of 2008. She takes her duties as team leader very seriously because she has five small children who rely on her. Other Team 1 members are Angel Amaya (March 2008), Claudia Duran (June 2005), and Zeneida Rojas (September 2007). Team 1’s consistency in cleaning is quite impressive; every clean is done extremely well.
Team Leader #2: Yahaira
Yahaira
Yahaira Castro (June 2006) leads Team 2. She enters every home with a huge smile and prides herself on keeping her customers happy. A customer recently called to tell us that “she and her team are a joy to have in our home.” Team 2 also includes Alberto de la Rosa (February 2006) and Belissa Gotay (January 2007).
Team Lead #3: Jose
Jose
Team 3 leader, Jose Rodriguez (April 2007) spends his weekends in Arcadia helping his family, then drives to Tampa early on Monday morning to work for The Maids during the week. His customers always appreciate his professional demeanor and quality work. Team 3 is rounded out with Carlos Bonegas (September 2008) and our newest team members Julietta Gonzalez and Lisbet Iglesias (both hired in April 2009).
Team Lead #4: Mayra
Mayra
Mayra Gomez (February 2005) is our most experienced team leader. She is ready to work hard every day. Mayra attended a two-week training session at The Maids corporate office in Omaha, Nebraska. The other members of Team 4 team are Cristiam Velarde (September 2007), Alberto Cordoba (March 2009), and Iris Morales (September 2008).
